Link BuildingBuilding quality inbound links can be an important part of your overall marketing plan. The key is quality links. A small number of inbound links from great, relevant sites will be much more valuable than many links from low-traffic, irrelevant sites. Stay away from the link farms and other services that promise to link you to everything under the sun. This can actually hurt your search engine rankings instead of improving them. Search engines have become sophisticated enough to apply a relevancy "weight" to inbound links. If they do not think the link is relevant and coming from a site that is relevant to yours, then the link is considered poor and you lose ranking points. If you accumulate enough of these poor links, you can do quite a bit of damage to your web ranking. Placing articles or press releases with news sites that are industry relevant is an excellent way to build quality inbound links. The key is to look for high-traffic, relevant industry sites and portals. Once potential sites have been identified, you must evaluate what your site has to offer in return. Reciprocal linking is just that, both sites provide links to each other and offer content that is relevant to both sites. Our Process
